Check out what folks are saying about Carter Anderson:

Carter Anderson was recently reviewed & interviewed by BrownGurl Magazine. According to Senior Editor Nikki Carter, "Carter Anderson declares he is “Not the Last Gentleman”. His melodic ballads and mid-tempo tracks remind us that chivalry is not dead. His sounds are smooth and soulful, his lyrics meaningful and warm. Carter Anderson tells you how a woman should be treated. He also tells BG about “Not the Last Gentleman” in this issue’s Indie Spotlight." To read the interview, click here.

Carter Anderson was recently mentioned in two articles in The Takoma Park Gazette, for his performance at the 2006 Tastes of Takoma festival, held at Columbia Union College! Check out both articles, by their publication dates, below:

Carter Anderson's song "The One That Got Away" has been listed on SoulSorts as one of 2005's Best of the Rest songs!

Carter has a really soulful voice and he produces a quality old school soul album that will appeal to lovers of Will Downing or Will Wheaton. The songs are mainly mid tempo relationship songs 'Because You Love \me' and the title track or ballads like the outstanding 'Left In The Dark'. The standout dancers are 'The One That Got Away' and 'You Make My Day', but this is primarily a laid back album to listen to.

Had this R&B/Soul crooner been a contestant on American Idol, he would have won no matter what season! Carter Anderson’s debut CD “Not the Last Gentleman” is a carefully put together craft of love songs, chill joints and highway hits (you now them songs that you ride and sing along to while cruising in the streets or on the freeway). Carter Anderson has been honing his skills for a few years (on the repeatedly “music industry” slept on, but talent heavy Washington, DC scene) and he is bound to make his way into your neck of the woods and into your favorite CD collection once you give this release a listen. His initial album promises a true representation of his personal writings and musical style.

His R&B tends more toward the smooth than the pop-rock variety, but you can practically hear the Stevie Wonder head tilt in Anderson's sweet singing. The artist's real triumph, however, is avoiding the Courvoisier shlock of so many R&B songsters--this crooner's idea of romance is opening the door for his lady.
